Reconstructive dentistry involves reconstruction to restore both function and form. Often this involves the placement of crown or bridgework. Reconstruction is usually possible even following lengthy periods of inattention - broken, chipped, fractured, discolored, decayed or even missing teeth can be treated. It is an integral component of the treatment of periodontally impaired dentition.
